Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) 2025

Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) is one of the surveys routinely conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to obtain accurate and up-to-date wholesale price data in the trade sector. SHPB consists of 2 activities, namely monthly SHPB and weekly SHPB.

Monthly SHPB is conducted every 1-20th of each month with a total of 32 commodities and a sample of 6 respondents, spread across the Krueng Sabee sub-district. Followed by weekly SHPB which records the prices of basic necessities and important goods (bapokting). Weekly SHPB is conducted in the first and second weeks of each month with a total of 4 respondents. The bapokting commodities enumerated in the weekly SHPB in Aceh Jaya Regency are rice, cooking oil, red chilies, and shallots.

SHPB data collection is carried out through direct interviews by 2 statistical partner officers for monthly SHPB enumeration officers and 4 officers for weekly SHPB. This SHPB will later produce IHPB (Wholesale Producer Price Index) which is used to monitor the development of producer prices in the market.
